after discovering and running marathon of your videos, i'd like to stop for a moment to appreciate what you've contributed for the community. by far this is one of the most noble coffee channel that ever exist, and this is the most important videos i've ever watched.

I'm not going to say that the catch cup is no issue at all but the degree to which you go off on the catch cup is way way way out of proportion to how much of a problem it is. The sounds of it are truly nothing at all. And then the on off button. Id like to congratulate you on suffering from truly first world problems. Congratulations. eXpresso! - Kinda wish I stumbled into this a few bags ago. That said, I think I may be juggling one too many problems. Recently got the sculptor 078s, hasn't 'really' been seasoned, which I know you had issues with. I've then also got myself a Lelit Bianca and so a bit of a deep dive into the deep-end considering I was previously using a Delonghi ec680. My take-away here is stop messing with flow control and stick with one bean to begin, else I'll get watery 15 secs 45g out forever!

Would love to see this same information given for a more commercial machine. OK, I'll just come out an suggest you do it for a Breville Junior. On a machine like this a lot of what you've discussed in terms of temp and extraction time are out of the hands of the brewer -- at least to a noob like me.

Most of this was familiar to me but it hadn’t occurred to me that fines could migrate and clog the filter with too much agitation. That said, it makes complete sense. Also, if your grinder produces a wide grind distribution (ie: grind particle size is not consistent in a single grind and producing too many fines), that will clog up a percolation brew (and produce a lousy cup no matter the method). I have bailed on my V60 in favor of the AeroPress, Moka pot, and a Vietnamese phin filter. Each of these methods produces a different brew, all of which are tasty in their own right, but the consistency in brewing is what brings me back again and again to these approaches.

For anyone who owns this: is it not possible to clean the jug by running a foaming cycle with water and a drop of dish soap and then rinsing it out? This is how I clean my steam wand when it gets really gross

First time I’ve watched any of your videos. Coffee and science! What else could you ask for? But a little bit over my head. I need to rewatch it. I am struggling with, as you call it stalled pours. This didn’t start happening until I recently started roasting my own coffee beans. This wasn’t an issue with coffee from the store or online. Any feedback would be appreciated. Continuing my journey and learning!
